So touching to witness this beautiful family celebrating 10 years of marraige together with their two stunning children, family and close friends. Flying all the way from America, Myke and Dennis chose Boschendal Estate to look back on their 10 years together as husband and wife and to give thanks to each other and to reaffirm their commitment. Family and friends also got a chance to give thanks to the couple and commented on how honoured they were to witness such a strong and loving marraige. Kirsty from Weddings Out Of Africa was on hand and co-ordinated the celebration perfectly. Wishing Myke, Dennis and the rest of the family many more blessed years together.

The perfect day in the Cape winelands awaited this stunning couple for their wedding day. Laylani look absolutely radiant in her wedding dress as she stepped out of the champagne coloured Bentley at the church. Their service was so beautiful and it was lovely to see this couple become joined in marrage before their family and friends. Laylani and Grant were great fun to photograph in the vines and it was clear to see the love they shared for each other. I was truly an honour to be able to capture their magical day.

We met Jeanry and Diaan at the African Pride hotel's spa in the centre of Cape Town for their engagement shoot. Little did Jeanre know her the fiance Diaan was busy planning a surprise wedding for her with her friends and family. Jeanry is as beauiful inside as she is outside and deserved her magical day created for her in thier hometown of Bloemfontein. Diaan a fitness enthusiast is Mr South Africa first runner up and a motivational speaker was so much fun to work with and it was an honour to meet him. As you can see from the photos, this power couple is just to beautiful for words and we loved spending the afternoon with them in this arty and spectacular hotel. Around each corner was something new to shoot and we even stopped at the cafe for a coffee and cake mid shoot. We would like to wish Jeanre and Diaan all the very best for the future.

A taleted team of of beautiful woman came together to create a classic look that is elegant, timeless and forever beautiful for this shoot. The colour pallet refects perfect Cape sunsets with dusy pink, white and grey clouds lightly scattered in the sky and beautiful golden tones found in the shimmering setting sun rays.

This new up and coming trend of origami art work is perfect for the modern young bride of today wanting to show her uniquie style. It is a strong statment of her stepping into an ever lasting bond of marrage.  The chosen colors of dusty pink, grey, white and gold symobolis the soft feminane energies, base male energies, purity of marrage and prosperity in all things going forward in the couples new life together.

Your wedding day is the most important day of your life and gives you a chance to express who you are to those nearest and dearest to you. Unfortunatly most of us are constrained by budget. My advise to you is choose 3 elements of your wedding that there is no budget constraints on. Of course coming in at number one; your dress, shoes, hair & make up. You are the star of the show so this is a no brainer, you need the very best. Secondly  your wedding decor and flowers and of course at number three is your photographer. Capturing your wedding beautifully is something you will cherrish forever as will your future children and grandchildren.

Remember to be true to yourself  when putting your style together for the big day. Pull ideas, color pallets  and new trends off Pinterest. Make your day unique by thinking out of the box and surprise your guest with something unique like origami art.

We are in love with nature and the goodness she brings and so wanted to create an organic, real and an elegant shoot on a white pallet with a sophisticated, modern and beautiful twist.

In honour of the sun, warm summer days and new green leaves we bring you this shoot to kick off the season and reflect the beauty of new beginnings, new love and of course …weddings.

We love the contrast between green organic plants, raw wood, ivory and gold wedding dresses together with subtle yet eye catching accents of gold in the jewellery and decor.  Objects chosen as furnishings are modern simple lines in the glassware and copper wired chanceliers in traditional shapes yet made out of modern material and perfect in its symmetry.

Incorporate white and green botanical elements in your décor to put the focus on nature and all her abundance and keep your look simple modern and clean.  Elements of copper as accents in invitations, furnishing and even jewellery adds points of interest and shine to your décor and finishing touches.

Tips for your wedding day:

Simple arrangements of raw wood, glass and plant stems or seedlings creates a very clean modern and sophisticated  look to your wedding.

Consider hanging arrangements of green fresh botanicals suspended in coper cages above your tables, dress you cake up with leaves and add shine.

Be bold and consider wearing a botanical headpiece to wow your guests!
