Candice and Tiaan chose the perfect venue for their wedding.  There is something really wonderful about away weddings, driving to a relaxed natural setting out in the the countryside and spending a couple of days celebrating the union of these two; makes this one of the best weddings in our book.  The Uijlenes is a relatively new venue and its suits the country wedding vibe perfectly.  The guests had a lot of fun playing games on the lawn after the intimate ceremony next to the dam.  The bride and groom showed of their golfing skills by hitting golf balls into the dam and having fun laughing at (we mean with) each other!  As its a countryside venue, there were animals involved too and we had some donkeys visiting during our couple shoot;  we were also blessed with dramatic skies and windy gusts and I am happy to say that these always create amazing images!  The reception was set in a beautiful wooden venue with a lot of pretty lighting and excellent decor choices by the couple.  Everyone had an amazing time and lots of fun dancing the night away.  I would like to thank Fiona Joy for being a fantastic second shooter on the day.  It was an honor being a part of this amazing wedding and we hope you enjoy the images as much as we enjoyed being your wedding photographers!

Prestige Cosmetics House hosted BVLGARI's stunning event - The launch of Bulgari Splendida, at the beautiful Banskia Hotel in Cape Town, South Africa and we were honored to be a part of this amazing day.  The venue was the perfect setting to show of the 3 new Splendida fragrances that Bulgari has released this season.

For this engagement shoot we decided to do a little bit of a experience for our couple.  We started off with a bit of wine tasting at the gorgeous Grand Provance, followed by a visit to the art gallery where the couple could admire some amazing art works.  I love photographing people enjoying art and of course these types of venues always gives me a really interesting backdrop for the shoot.  the couple enjoyed some of the more quirkly pieces a lot, and i got a chance to capture their facial expressions and enjoyment of various pieces.  Reportage lifestyle photography is something that I really enjoy and it shows us a little bit more of the subjects personality, and the story of their relationship.  We visited the main street for a coffe at the end of the shoot, again using interesting interiors to add to the experience and give us some images that are fun and varied.  I love these experience engagement shoots and what a perfect couple to spend the afternoon with, thanks to both of you for a fun filled afternoon and some gorgeous imagery.

Marica and Kwagga's wedding on the West Coast of Cape Town was the perfect opportunity to get out into nature and experience her wonders.  These two decided on this venue due to its natural surroundings and the fact that they could enjoy seeing some wildlife after saying their vows.  Marica wore the most amazing dress and she looked stunning walking down the isle to meet her husband.  I was struck by the message of the sermon and how a marriage can work if there is respect and priority for each others needs.  A marriage close to God, indeed a very powerful message.  Soon after this we jumped on a game drive vehicle and set off to see some animals and enjoy taking couple photos out on the Reseve at Buffelsfontein.  Our guide knew were all the best photo spots were so Frank and my job was really easy and we could focus on avoiding stepping on snakes! and of course taking some great images for our couple.  Our drive ended with a close encounter with some Rhinos, what a treat that was for our couple.  We went back to the venue and the rest of the night was enjoyed inside eating and being merry. We wish you two all the best for the future and thank you for choosing us as your wedding photographers.

Wen and HC visited Cape Town, South Africa all the way from Washington DC! They contacted me and asked that we spend a day together for their engagement shoot.  We started the shoot at the popular Warwick Wine Estate in Stellenbosch where we took the safari vehicle to the look out point and learnt a little about the history of the farm.  For this part of our shoot the two of them dressed in african traditional tunics which was a lot of fun!  We then decided to travel to Cape Town and visit Glen Beach in Camps Bay, where we encoutered rather strong winds!! Our couple was extremely brave however and I am pleased with the effect of the wind in their images!  What a pleasure to show this fun and adventurous couple our beautiful city and hear how much they enjoyed it!  All the best for your future together and hope to have you back for a desitation wedding in Cape Town, South Africa! Thank you to Helga Strydom for hair and make-up and Willen for the assitance on the day
